Q: Is pest control treatment harmful to my pets and children?
A: No special precautions are required for pest control treatments where children and pets are present. If an occupant has specific allergies or other medical concerns, we recommend they leave the treated area for 3-4 hours. We do recommend staying off of treated areas until they are dry. We are able to work around most concerns and offer pest control treatments for sensitive environments, including our Green Service.

Q: What is involved in a typical pest control treatment?
A: On a standard General Pest Service, we treat the outside of the perimeter 5-10 from the foundation with either a granular or a liquid product. We treat around all windows and doors, and remove spider webs. Inside the building we treat key areas that may harbor or provide entry to pests. We also inspect key areas in the building such as attics or crawlspaces that may be sources of pests. Outside only services are also available.

Q: What pest problems can you treat?
A: We offer pest control services for any type of pest that you may have, both business and residential. Our General Pest Service includes treatment for most crawling insects, with the exclusion of wood destroying insects, fleas, or other “occasional invaders”. Some pest control services, such as flying insects, fleas, bedbugs, and fire ants do require an extra charge. Please contact us for details.

Q: Do you have a guarantee?
A: At Carolina Pest Management we guarantee all our services. The length and terms of the guarantee differs for each type of pest control service. There is no charge for a retreatment within your guarantee period, and we are always only a phone call away if you have any problems or questions.

Q: How long do I need to be out of the house?
A: For most pest control services you will not need to leave your house. Flea extermination or bedbug treatments will require a 4 hour vacancy period immediately following the service. We also recommend leaving the house for 4 hours if you are chemically sensitive or have any specific allergies.

Q: Do you treat Commercial properties and Residential properties?
A: Yes, we service all types of commercial and residential properties. We can tailor our services to fit the specific needs of any type of home or business.

Q: How much does a pest control treatment cost?
A: Prices will vary based on the type of service. Our pricing is based on the square footage of the area to be serviced and the degree of the infestation. Please contact us for more specific information on our pricing.

Q: How soon can you do my service?
A: Typically we will be able to schedule most services within a few days. Even during our busiest months of spring and summer we can still service most accounts within three or four days.

Q: What is the difference between your regular service and the Green service?
A: Our Green Service is our Eco-Friendly Pest Control service. We use botanical based products for a natural and organic pest control solution. They are very effective and provide both quick knockdown and control against a wide variety of indoor and outdoor pests. Many of these products have plant oils as their active ingredients, which target and block a key neurotransmitter receptor site for octopamine. These receptors are found only in invertebrates, such as insects. Since mammals do not have these receptors these plant oils have no adverse effect on them. Our Green Service is a great option for those treating environmentally sensitive areas.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. We also offer a bank draft option for those who wish to have their accounts drafted after each service.

Q: Is there a discount for Senior Citizens?
A: There is a 10% discount for Senior Citizens.

Q: Do I have to sign a contract?
A: Although our services are guaranteed, we do not require contracts. We will contact you when your next scheduled service is due or is up for renewal and you may cancel at any time.
